Whispers

“Whispers” is an ongoing series of abstract floral macro photographs created through a slow, mindful practice of quiet observation.
The process behind the series is that of an inner stillness, patience and attention. It’s about appreciating nature on a deeper level, beyond the obvious beauty. Each frame is found not styled, discovered rather than arranged. Working hand-held with extension rings attached to the lens, I often find myself needing to hold my breath for stabilisation. Suspended between stillness and motion, as if any exhale might disturb the fragile intimacy of the scene before me. And there it is, up close, revealing the kind of softness that never announces itself. It hides in the folds of petals, in slivers of light, in tonal shifts so subtle they can only be seen when everything inside me becomes quiet.
Whispers is an invitation into that delicate space of calmness, a visual meditation on gentleness, on the revelations that surface only when approached with care, and on the intimate conversations that unfold when we let the world speak in its own soft voice. After all flowers don’t shout, they whisper…
